Richard Gibbs

Richard is Urbis’ Chief Economist and Head of the National Economic Advisory Practice and as such he works across all business units, including urban planning & design, heritage, real estate advisory and economics and social policy. Prior to joining Urbis in June 2018, Richard was the Chief Economist and Global Head of Economics and Strategy at Macquarie Group for over 15 years. During this time, Richard was one of the architects and the key presenter of Macquarie’s Annual Property Market Outlook.

Richard is a leading economist, business analyst and public policy specialist with over 25 years’ experience across Australia, New Zealand, the US, the UK and Europe and the Middle East. He has served as a strategic adviser and specialist consultant to multinational companies in Australia and overseas, and national & regional governments in over 18 separate jurisdictions.

Richard is highly experienced in economic and financial evaluations, business case studies, social impact assessments and corporate and organisational governance models. He is also an Infrastructure NSW Assurance Review panel member. As a strategic adviser and economic development specialist, Richard brings to projects a wealth of practical experience, particularly in the assessment of the net economic benefits and is highly-skilled in the application of cost-benefit analysis (CBA), cost- effectiveness analysis (CEA), input-output analysis and social return on investment (SROI) and asset portfolio management.

Adrian Pozzo

Adrian Pozzo is the Chief Executive Officer of Cbus Property Pty Ltd, having been appointed to this role in 2007. Prior to this, he spent five years with the company as Chief Financial Officer.

Adrian has over 35 years’ experience as an executive in the property and construction industries, working in both private and public companies, both in Australia and overseas.

At Cbus Property, he has responsibility for the strategic performance and management of all aspects of the Cbus direct property investment business which includes major investments and developments in the commercial, retail, residential and mixed-use sectors.

Adrian is currently on the Board of the Green Building Council of Australia, holding the role of Deputy Chair. He is also the Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee. Adrian is also a member of the Property Council of Australia (Victorian Division), having previously served as Vice-President in 2013. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants.

His 20 years of experience is truly global having lived and worked within the real estate industry in London, San Francisco, Vancouver, Sydney and now Singapore.

Immediately prior to MSCI Real Capital Analytics, David was at JLL and Cushman & Wakefield in Singapore and Sydney where he covered capital markets research around the world. He started his career in the UK with Investment Property Databank (IPD), where he analysed the real estate portfolios of some of the UK’s largest private sector pension funds, using data and analytics to improve performance.

Shane Quinn

Ryan Banting

Ryan is responsible for the growth and management of Australian Unity’s investments across the social infrastructure sectors that include Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA), Childcare, Seniors Living (Retirement and Aged Care), and long-stay accommodation options such as Build-to-Rent (BTR), Social, Affordable, and Key Worker Housing.

In 2016 Ryan led the team that successfully bid and negotiated the $1.1 billion redevelopment of the Herston Quarter health precinct with the Queensland Government in 2017. This project involved structuring a complex PPP transaction alongside a Master Development Agreement, containing multiple assets across the social infrastructure spectrum.

Ryan joined Australian Unity in June 2011 as Head of Portfolio Management for Australian Unity’s Real Estate Investment business, leading the financial analysis, treasury and economic research functions for Australian Unity’s $2.5 billion property and mortgage funds business.

Prior to joining Australian Unity Ryan worked as an investment strategist in NAB’s global markets division, and as Head of Strategy at listed telecommunications firm M2. Ryan has also held roles with CBA and Macquarie Group.

Michael Bennett

Michael is the National Head of Property Finance – Business & Private Bank for the CBA. He leads a team of commercial real estate finance specialists that supports the sales teams which operate in the various markets across Australia. His team retains responsibility in steering the strategic direction of balance sheet growth, portfolio pricing and maintenance of credit quality.

His role requires regular representation to Senior Management within the division of Business & Private Bank, Business Unit Risk & Group Risk, Executive Risk Committee and the Regulator on the performance of the portfolio and the various commercial property markets the CBA operates in.

Success in the role is defined by sustained profitable growth coupled with acceptable returns on the capital being deployed whilst maintaining the credit quality standard of the portfolio.

Michael Cook

Michael has been with Investa for more than 18 years, has been a Group Executive for 16 years and has, at various times, had responsibility for Capital Transactions, Commercial Development, Leasing, as well as Asset Management and Portfolio Management.

Michael’s major Sydney development projects included: 400 George St, the Lord Foster designed Deutsche Bank Place at 126 Phillip St and 60 Martin Place. He is currently responsible for the commercial delivery (leasing) of new Metro Integrated Station Development projects at 39 Martin Place and 252 Pitt Street (Parkline Place).

Michael has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Economics, a Graduate Diploma in Urban Estate Management and is a Fellow of the Australian Property Institute.

As a member of oOh!media’s executive leadership team for 20 years, Noel oversees critical business functions from sales to product development and asset rollouts, to operations and commercial contract management, to business development. Managing oOh!’s Delivery Excellence team, Noel oversees client services, scheduling, production and design to ensure delivery of seamless campaigns.

With 30 years’ experience with media clients and agencies, Noel has been responsible for overseeing complex commercial contracts and played a key role in successfully integrating oOh!media’s acquisitions into the business. These include Cactus Imaging, the regional billboard business Sports and Outdoor Media, and the large format and/or airport media specialists, Media Puzzle and Eye Corp. Noel is also on the board of The Outdoor Media Association (OMA).

Noel also played an important role in developing and maintaining oOh!media’s long-running relationships with Roads and Maritime Services (NSW), VicTrack(Victoria), Department of Transport and Main Roads (Queensland) and the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (SA), among others. Benjamin Martin-Henry

Ben is Head of Real Assets Research for the Pacific region at MSCI and is responsible for producing thought leadership for the benefit of MSCI’s clients, covering both the major property sectors and newly emerging ones.

Ben has over 15 years of experience in Australia, and the UK across investment analysis, research, strategy, and product development in the property sector. In addition, he has expertise in property sector performance metrics, macroeconomic and financial market data interpretation, and product development.

Ben began his career at IPD in London (now MSCI), where he worked predominantly in research. Upon transferring to the Sydney office, Ben took on the role of Client Consultant for the Asia Pacific region. Ben then moved to CBRE, where he was Head of Capital Markets, Office & BTR within CBRE Research for over five years, before moving to RCA to be Head of Analytics for the Pacific region, which MSCI subsequently acquired in September 2021.

Carrie is a partner in the Band 1 and award winning national Real Estate Practice at Clayton Utz. Carrie's principle areas of practice are property development and structuring, commercial and industrial leasing together with acquisitions, disposals and leasebacks.

Carrie has over 15 years' experience in the property industry having started her career at a small suburban law firm before moving to Clayton Utz and spending some time in-house. She has worked on a number of high profile property matters involving complex structuring, multi-party agreements and unusual titling matters.

Last year, following her return to work after maternity leave, her work continued for Woolworths on the $1.7bn sale of its petrol station business and 526 petrol station sites to EG Group, an overseas entrant to the Australian market. She also advised an Australian diversified global real estate company on its acquisition of a 50% interest in the development of an office building (development value of A$800 million).

Carrie's experience in property, commercial and infrastructure projects allows her to bring a unique skill set to large-scale projects. Her clients include a mix of private and public sector clients. Originally a property valuer with the Valuation Office Agency, Nicola specialised in capital allowances and tax depreciation for Arthur Andersen in London prior to moving to Australia in 2000. Nicola was a founding Director of Apex Property Consulting, a boutique capital allowances practice, which was acquired by MBMpl in 2011.
