David Bowden joins Property Funds Association of Australia as Client Relationship Director

The Property Funds Association of Australia (PFA), the peak body which represents the unlisted property funds industry in Australia, has appointed experienced property industry professional, David Bowden, as Client Relationship Director.

Mr Bowden is best known in property for his long career with global commercial real estate specialist, JLL, where he held several senior positions including more than a decade as Managing Director Victoria, and positions such as Australasian Head of Leasing, and Director Project Leasing & Development. As an International Director David had various international roles with JLL, including being a member of their Global Leasing Board.

He also was a Division Councillor of the Property Council of Victoria for 10 years, serving two years as Vice President.

Mr Bowden joins PFA as Client Relationship Director on a part-time basis, in addition to his current advisory board roles with Capstone Recruitment and IKON Services.

Paul Healy, CEO of the PFA, welcomed Mr Bowden’s appointment. “PFA is delighted to welcome David, who is a high calibre property professional with vast experience at executive level and an incredible track record.

“We believe David is the perfect fit for PFA, and will be a huge asset as PFA continues to expand its membership and scope across the industry.”

David Bowden said he was looking forward to helping PFA broaden its reach and influence. “I’m excited to be joining Paul Healy and the PFA Executive Committee, who have already done an outstanding job at growing PFA’s influence and membership in recent years.

“All unlisted property managers can benefit from being involved with PFA. The Association does a fantastic job of representing their membership, and coordinates an excellent events program to bring the unlisted property community together.

“Unlisted property funds are an important source of returns and wealth creation for investors, and drive many positive economic developments for Australia.”

Mr Healy said unlisted property continues to evolve and diversify, remaining an essential source of returns for investors. “Unlisted property funds offer more investment options than ever before, with an exciting range of new and alternative property asset classes available.

“The combination of income returns and capital growth provides an important point of difference for unlisted property investors, and compares strongly with other asset classes.

“We’re seeing innovation and development across unlisted funds management, and PFA is passionate about supporting and growing this industry.”
